Into the Blue: Inside BCSO’s Training Academy

The Blount County Sheriff’s Office has released Into the Blue, a short docuseries that gives viewers a look inside the BCSO Regional Training Academy. The series follows recruits through their twelve-week journey as they work toward becoming deputies.

Into the Blue was produced by Castle Web, a Maryville-based company that provides web design and video production for local businesses and organizations. The focus was to document the experience as it happened, keeping it authentic and straightforward without heavy production or staging.
The first episode premiered October 10 on the Blount County Sheriff’s Office YouTube channel. New episodes are released on Fridays. Each one covers a different stage of the academy, from orientation to the final evaluations that determine who graduates.
The series gives residents a closer understanding of how much preparation goes into earning the badge. It shows the commitment and teamwork involved as recruits build the skills needed for the job.
